Boise Parks & Recreation manages three cemeteries: - Morris Hill located at 317 N. Latah
- Pioneer located at 460 E Warm Springs Ave.
- Military Reserve located in Military Reserve
at 750 Mountain Cove Rd.

The cemeteries comprise of nearly ninety acres with approximately 30,000 graves, among them some of Boise's most notable pioneers.
Cemeteries are open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset.

Most people are not aware that Morris Hill, Pioneer, and Military Cemeteries have been operated and maintained by the City of Boise for many years. Morris Hill since 1892, Pioneer since 1920 and Military Reserve since 1947. The City of Boise cemeteries are full of history, architecture styles, and community heritage. They are sanctuaries for the living and, for so many people, that land is sacred. This is why toppled tombstones are disturbing and devastating to the cemetery itself, cemetery staff, the families, and the community. Historic Fort Boise Military Cemetery is located in a natural reserve of the Foothills off Mountain Cove road in Cottonwood Canyon. Because it is situated on a hillside without irrigation, the Fort Boise Military Cemetery is maintained with respect both for the historic significance and the integrity of the natural setting. Over the years many visitors have asked questions in regards to the City owned mausoleum, located at Morris Hill Cemetery, constructed in 1936 – 1937.
